I'm a native Texan who eventually came back to my home state to work in the educational and nonprofit sectors after living in Oregon and Minnesota post-graduation. I currently work in public health, specifically working to reduce underage substance use and abuse as a Community Mobilization Coordinator. I train members of substance use prevention coalitions to advocate for environmental strategies to reduce underage substance use. It's fun work that is at the intersection of a lot of my interests, including co-occurring disorders, human growth and development, and community organizing. I am a licensed chemical dependency counselor as well as an LPC-Intern, and I have a small private counseling practice.
